Directing Demo Reel (Unscripted)
Directing Demo Reel (Comedy)
Moreen, a USC alum, is a multi-hyphenated creative including award-winning filmmaker, network-level director, and three-time published author. Working with top TV production companies, she has developed unscripted shows for virtually all networks, spanning all genres, including: "Forged in Fire" (History Channel), two documentaries for PBS ("Icon: Al Capone" and "Icon: Richard Pryor"), and "This American Bite" an animated series pilot she scripted for the Food Network / World of Wonder.
Moreen directed a multi-cam TV pilot featuring Emmy and Grammy winning talent for Freeform. She has also directed commercials, and an award-winning short film, "Meet the Zillas." Shot in 4 days on the Red Epic, it features 27 principals and 40 extras including "Pepper" from Pee Wee Herman's Big Holiday and "Captain Obvious" and won "Best Film Audience Award" at the Los Angeles Underground Film Festival.
From 2014 to 2016, she was director of TV development for Outpost Entertainment (an ITV company, the largest independent TV production company in the USA). She previously also worked at William Morris Agency (now WME) for the worldwide head of TV Literary.
COMEDY & PUBLISHING
In 2010, Moreen performed stand-up for the first time. Within two months, she was offered a contract for a comedy album by New Wave, the producers behind Dane Cook. She has since contributed comedic monologues to two comedy books (Women's Comedic Monologues That Are Actually Funny, and Teen Girls' Comedic Monologues That Are Actually Funny), and is the author of the novel, LOST IN MANHATTAN which was previously in development for a TV show at Oxygen.
FASHION DESIGN & EDITRIX
During her years in NYC, Moreen designed menswear at Liz Claiborne. While there, she was named as a top 10 finalist in a design competition judged by the former CEO of Burberry, Angela Ahrendts and Karen Murray, current CEO of a fashion group that includes Martha Stewart and Jessica Simpson. More recently, she was contracted to create an e-zine for MAGIC, North America's largest fashion trade show, where she reported to the former publisher of Vogue, Tom Florio. As its editor-in-chief, Fashion Alert, with a B2B distribution of 200K+, broke company record for the highest open rates.
Moreen has additionally written for KCBY-TV, an NBC news-broadcasting affiliate (on-camera) and The World newspaper (circulation 30K).
Moreen's early jobs were as a celebrity assistant (to Rob Reiner, Rob Schneider, Adrienne Vittadini and the last Mrs. Cary Grant). These jobs no doubt contributed to her comedic pursuits and fondness for expensive water, driving and "wrecking" Rolls Royces, and aesthetically-pleasing plating. Moreen is also a professional photographer. Too much? Born Christmas Eve 1979, Moreen has a B.A. in Creative Writing and Cinematic Arts from USC.
